Ann Curry

Ann Curry was born in the United States and is an accomplished photographer as well as a journalist. Since more than 45 years, she has concentrated on documenting human suffering, primarily in natural disasters and wars. Curry was a reporter in war zones like Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry, born November 19 1956 (Agana) was an American journalist who served as a television news anchor. Curry was known especially for the reporting she did on natural catastrophes and war torn countries. Curry's father was a naval officer in the U.S. Navy and her mother was Japanese. Her mother was working with her father in Japan following World War II. They were frequently in and out of the country due to her dad's military service. Curry was able to complete her high school education at Ashland Oregon. Curry graduated from the University of Oregon awarded her an undergraduate degree in journalism. Her likely to have created an empathic manner of communication due to her exposure to other cultures during her childhood. Ann Curry works as a popular American newscaster and journalist for NBC. They frequently moved around, and Curry didn't stay in the same school for over two years, and she traveled to different areas including San Diego Alameda Oregon and Virginia. Ashland was where she eventually finished her high school. In Medford where she began her broadcasting career with KTVL Channel 10 as an intern. When she was 22, she became the first reporter to be female at KTVL. After that, she moved to anchoring and reporting for KGW which is an affiliate of NBC in Portland. After that, she moved to Los Angeles four years later working as a journalist at KCBS TV. In the course of the six years she worked for KCBS the station, she won two Emmy Awards.
